Neither vendor publishes an accuracy figure, an evaluation method or results compared across accent, dialect or language, which is the open question for products whose input is recorded speech. Each states a security attestation as its own without showing it: Mentalyc names SOC 2 Type II with no report period, auditor or scope, and Supanote's trust center lists SOC 2 and ISO 27001 as complete without the reports behind them.
Supanote states that its models were trained on thousands of real therapy notes and does not say where those notes came from or on what basis, which is more candid than silence and raises a question a buyer should ask. Supanote also publishes no hosting region or residency option.
