An earlier version of this comparison said Lyrebird publishes no trust centre, called its integration the deepest located in this category, and said neither vendor names a model. A trust centre is published and linked from every page, the second was a ranking, and Lyrebird's privacy policy names its language and speech models. Corrected 15 September 2026.
Neither vendor publishes an accuracy figure, a model card or an evaluation methodology, and both offer speed claims instead: Lyrebird cites notes generated in under 20 seconds, which describes latency rather than fidelity. Neither publishes an accent, dialect or language performance analysis.
Lyrebird does name what produces the note. Its privacy policy identifies Azure OpenAI for language processing and Deepgram and Whisper for speech to text, along with AWS and Supabase for hosting and authentication. No model version is given and nothing says how a change of model is communicated. Heidi publishes no named model.
Lyrebird publishes a trust centre at a dedicated subdomain, linked from the footer of every page and hosted on a compliance automation platform whose contents render only in a browser. A platform hosting a portal is not itself an attestation. No SOC 2 report of either type and no ISO 27001 certificate has been established, and the vendor has been described as pursuing both rather than holding them. What is published outside the portal is architecture rather than examination: AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, application data and backups in the Sydney region, audio deleted immediately after transcription by default, and configurable note retention. That is a coherent data minimisation posture and still a description of design. Open the portal in a browser before concluding anything. Lyrebird now operates a United States facing site and prices in United States dollars, so its health privacy posture applies rather than being out of scope.
