ActiumHealth vs Attune
Two patient communication vendors at very different stages. ActiumHealth automates inbound and outbound contact across voice, text, message and email at real scale, with tens of millions of calls behind it, serving health systems and large specialty practices. Attune launched publicly in January 2026 with an autonomous voice agent that reasons through a conversation rather than following a script, aimed at scheduling, follow up and care gap closure. The capability gap runs one way and the disclosure gap runs the same way: Attune publishes almost nothing on privacy, security or retention while sitting in the telephony path speaking to patients. For an organisation with outbound programmes that currently do not happen at all, an autonomous agent is competing against silence, which is a low bar. Ask for containment and escalation by caller segment before it touches a live line.
- It automates inbound and outbound communication across voice, text, message and email at genuine scale, with tens of millions of calls and a hundred million messages behind the platform.
- Channel breadth means one vendor covers the whole communication surface rather than the telephone alone.
- For an organisation that wants campaigns running rather than an integration project, breadth is the practical constraint.
- The agent reasons through a conversation rather than following a fixed script, which is what lets an outbound call recover when the patient does not answer as expected.
- Coverage is function led across scheduling, confirmation, follow up after care and gap closure, so one agent handles several campaign types.
- For outbound programmes that are currently not happening at all because nobody is staffed to make the calls, an autonomous agent competes against silence.

Both products place and answer calls to patients and neither publishes what a buyer needs: no accuracy figure, no containment definition, no escalation rate and no subgroup or language performance analysis. Attune publishes almost nothing at all, with no located health privacy statement, business associate terms, security attestation or retention position, which is a wide gap for a product sitting in the telephony path.
Recording consent is the deploying organisation's obligation rather than the vendor's, and several states require all party consent. Ask both for containment and escalation broken down by caller segment, since the callers an agent handles worst are least able to try again.
