CareConnect

CareConnect sells workforce software to home care and other postacute providers. Its Workforce Operating System combines recruiting, caregiver engagement, scheduling, training and compliance. ShiftMatch.AI learns from previous assignments to recommend caregivers, while Caregiver Choice lets workers accept shifts that fit their availability. Coordinators can use chat to compare assignment options, and agents handle calls, contact replacements and update schedules.

The broader suite includes applicant tracking and CareCommunity, which lets agencies maintain caregiver pools and share available workers with selected partners. Recruiting services are available alongside the software. Named customers include Personal Touch Home Care, Gurwin Healthcare System and Bestcare. The platform remains available under the CareConnect name.

Capability Axes

An AI Health Index grade measures what a buyer can verify from public sources on the date shown. It is not a rating of how good the product is. A vendor can build an excellent system and grade low on an axis because it publishes nothing an outsider can check. How grades read

AI Capability
BB on AI CentralityThe model is the engine of a core module. The platform carries other value, but this capability does not exist without it.
Vendor Published

ShiftMatch.AI powers caregiver recommendations and predictions about whether an agency can staff a new referral. Scheduling chatbots use those recommendations to arrange coverage. Applicant tracking, compliance records, training and caregiver communications also have value independently of the matching model.

BB on Autonomy and Oversight ModelThe oversight structure is described and one part is missing, commonly the threshold at which the system stops or what happens after it is wrong.
Vendor Published

Scheduling agents contact replacement caregivers and update assignments automatically. Urgent situations go to on call staff with context, while coordinators can override matches and inspect the reasoning behind recommendations. The threshold separating routine coverage problems from emergencies is not defined.

CC on Model and Technology TransparencyThe architecture is described in general terms with nothing identified. Proprietary is asserted rather than explained.
Vendor Published

The matching system learns patterns from successful assignments made by human coordinators and predicts which caregiver an agency will select. Private assignment data supplies its training examples. The statistical architecture, model versions and update procedures are unspecified.

BB on Model Supply Chain DisclosureSubstantial partial disclosure, or a chain that is structurally short: an in house build, a cleared model that cannot be quietly swapped, or a deployment where the transfer does not occur at all. Naming the model provider exits the band below into this one; the axis rises from here on the completeness of the party list and on the terms that govern data once it arrives.
Vendor Published

For ShiftMatch.AI, both training and inference stay inside CareConnect's AWS platform rather than passing to an external AI service. CareConnect operates the matching models internally. The same arrangement is not established for every chatbot and recruiting function.

CC on Clinical and Operational EvidenceNamed customers, or vendor reported percentages with no method, denominator or reference standard. Scale of use is recorded here and is not treated as evidence of benefit.
Vendor Published

Personal Touch Home Care, Gurwin Healthcare System and Bestcare are among the named customers. CareConnect reports faster hiring, higher caregiver engagement and lower turnover, but supplies no study population, comparison design or customer attribution for those outcome figures.

BB on AI Safety and PHI StewardshipCategorical commitments are published, such as no training on customer data, without the retention schedule behind them.
Vendor Published

ShiftMatch.AI trains on private caregiver assignment history and uses each agency's data for that agency's recommendations. Training and inference remain inside CareConnect's AWS environment. These commitments are specific to the matching models. A fixed retention window and procedures for handling unsafe model output are not specified.

Regulatory and Compliance
AA on HIPAA and BAA PostureBusiness associate status is stated, the agreement is available to read before contracting, the tier it applies at is clear, and the agreement discloses that it binds subcontractors who handle protected health information. Which parties those subcontractors are is graded on Model Supply Chain Disclosure and is not counted again here. Where any of the four cannot be verified from published material, the grade is the band below.
Vendor Published

Care Connect, LLC acts as business associate under an agreement covering the products and services in a covered entity's sales order. That agreement binds subcontractors handling protected information to the same obligations. It also requires incident reporting, assistance with approved record amendments, and return or destruction of information when the agreement ends.

DD on Security Certifications and Trust CenterControls are asserted with nothing independent behind them, or nothing is published. Read the note before concluding anything: this is the grade most often corrected on a second pass, because assurance material frequently sits on a parent domain or inside an old announcement rather than on the product pages.
Vendor Published

The application uses physical, electronic and administrative safeguards, and access is limited to authorized accounts. Its business associate agreement requires safeguards for protected information and breach reporting. Independent assurance for CareConnect's own security operations is unspecified.

CC on FDA and Regulatory StatusNo device claim is made and the product is scoped accordingly. Most administrative and operational products sit here and are not penalized for it, because this axis grades the appropriateness of the positioning rather than possession of a clearance.
Vendor Published

CareConnect coordinates staffing, recruiting, credentialing and workforce compliance. Predictive Authorization Analytics estimates whether an agency can fill an authorized case with its workforce. These are operational functions, with no diagnostic or treatment claim and no medical device status attached to the scheduling product.

DD on AI Governance and Bias DisclosureNothing published on how model behavior is governed or tested. Multilingual operation with no subgroup performance sits here when the vendor markets recognition quality as a strength, because a caller the system failed to understand leaves no complaint and no record.
Vendor Published

Caregiver matching learns from an agency's earlier assignment choices. Those choices can reflect local staffing policies and preferences. No evaluation compares recommendation quality or allocation of work across caregiver groups, and no model behavior review process accompanies the matching service.

CC on AI Liability and RecourseMechanisms exist that let someone challenge an output, such as audit trails, source traceability or review before commit, with nothing standing behind the output and no route for the harmed party.
Vendor Published

Coordinators can override an assignment and review logged agent activity. Contract terms disclaim accuracy and savings guarantees, and cap aggregate liability at fees paid or due during the preceding six months. The intellectual property indemnity does not promise a remedy for an incorrect caregiver recommendation.

Integration and Deployment
BB on EHR and Interoperability DepthNamed systems with read access or one directional writing, or standards support with named deployments behind it.
Vendor Published

Homecare Homebase and HHAeXchange are named integrations. The scheduling workflow writes filled assignments back to the record system, and the partner network also includes AlayaCare, Sandata and Home Care Manager. Production examples identifying a customer's complete bidirectional data flow are not supplied.

CC on Deployment Model and Data ResidencyA single hosted option with location implied rather than committed.
Vendor Published

CareConnect delivers browser and mobile applications, with the matching models running in its AWS cloud environment. The models keep an agency's assignment data separate from other agencies' recommendations. No hosting region or geographic restriction on processing is committed.

Commercial
CC on Commercial TransparencyNo price is published and the posture is discoverable: a buyer can establish how the product is sold and what drives the cost before contacting the vendor. Most of the index sits here.
Vendor Published

Software and services are purchased through a sales order. Fees depend on the selected products, requirements and volumes, with implementation and training covered separately when contracted. Standard terms run for a year and renew annually. There is no rate card or self service purchase.

BB on Setting and Specialty CoverageCoverage is named with validation behind part of it.
Vendor Published

The suite serves home care, skilled home health, hospice and long term care. Customers include Personal Touch Home Care, Bestcare and Gurwin Healthcare System. Outcome results are not separated by care setting or clinical discipline.
