Elation Health vs RXNT Ambient IQ (2026)

AI Health Index verifiedAugust 4, 2026
Verdict

Two record system vendors selling to the same small independent practice, and between them they hold the two most useful commercial disclosures in this category. Elation includes its AI at no additional cost with the platform subscription, which is the strongest possible answer to a specialist scribe charging per clinician per month. RXNT publishes its complete price list on its own website, which is the strongest answer to every vendor here that will not quote without a call. Elation also publishes the full text of its business associate agreement at a public URL, a route only a handful of vendors in this index take. The practical split is reach: RXNT released Ambient IQ standalone nationwide so a practice on another record system can still use it, while Elation's AI exists only inside Elation. Neither publishes an accuracy figure or a bias and accent position. On the model layer they now differ: Elation names Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Amazon as its AI providers in a published list, where RXNT names nobody.

The case for Elation Health
  • The business associate agreement is published in full at a public URL, which almost nobody in this index does. A practice can read what governs the relationship before entering a sales process rather than after.
  • The AI is included at no additional cost with the platform subscription, which is the whole economic argument against buying a separate scribe at a per clinician fee.
  • Scope is narrow and stated: independent primary care, recognised in 2026 Best in KLAS in the one to ten physician small practice category, with Note Assist writing into the clinician's own templates and Actions drafting prescriptions, orders and referrals inside the chart.
The case for RXNT Ambient IQ
  • Prices are published in full on the vendor's own site, flat and per provider per month, which is the clearest commercial disclosure of any record system vendor here and lets a practice model the cost exactly.
  • It works outside its own platform. Ambient IQ was released standalone nationwide, so a practice on another record system can still run it, where the alternative exists only inside its own EHR.
  • The review sequence is stated in the right order and the automated encounter is created only after the clinician has reviewed, edited and signed.

Set against RXNT Ambient IQ, Elation Health grades higher on several axes, including Model and Technology Transparency, Model Supply Chain Disclosure and Security Certifications and Trust Center. Questions buyers ask

Should we choose Elation Health or RXNT Ambient IQ?

On the axes where the AI Health Index separates them, Elation Health grades higher on several axes, including Model and Technology Transparency, Model Supply Chain Disclosure and Security Certifications and Trust Center, and RXNT Ambient IQ grades higher on Commercial Transparency. Elation Health leads on the greater share of scored axes, but the split means the decision turns on which constraint is binding rather than on an overall winner.

Where do Elation Health and RXNT Ambient IQ differ most?

The widest separation the AI Health Index records between Elation Health and RXNT Ambient IQ is on Commercial Transparency, where Elation Health grades C and RXNT Ambient IQ grades A. That axis sits in the Commercial group, so it should carry the most weight for a buyer whose binding constraint is contracting, scope and what the price actually covers.

Where do Elation Health and RXNT Ambient IQ grade the same?

The AI Health Index grades Elation Health and RXNT Ambient IQ the same on several axes, including AI Centrality, Autonomy and Oversight Model and Clinical and Operational Evidence. Neither holds an advantage the index can evidence on those axes, so they should not carry weight in a selection between these two.

Disclosure

An earlier version of this comparison said Elation publishes no attestation, no position on whether customer data trains its models, and no confidence threshold for its automated claim lane. Elation's AI data use policy and help centre contradict all three. Corrected 15 September 2026.

Neither vendor publishes an accuracy figure, a model card, a model version or an evaluation methodology, and neither publishes a bias, accent or dialect performance statement. RXNT's headline claims, up to 70 percent less documentation time and up to 15 more patients a week, use the unfalsifiable up to construction with no cohort or method.

What Elation does publish is worth reading precisely. Its AI providers are named as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Amazon, those providers are stated not to train on customer inputs or outputs, and the policy states Elation maintains SOC 2 compliance. None of it comes with the detail that would settle it: no report type, period or scope for the SOC 2 and no retrievable report, no mapping of which provider serves which feature including which one processes ambient audio, no retention period for audio or transcripts, and no statement of whether Elation itself uses content to improve its own features.

The automated claim lane has a published rule and it is the practice's to set. The billing solution page, the fast lane product page and the launch announcement all state that claims meeting a confidence threshold defined by the practice are routed into a touchless lane, with exceptions held back and flagged for review. The help centre gives the operative values: single charge line claims passing all scrubbing checks, and multi line claims at 90 percent or higher based on the practice's history with similar claims. Ask whether that figure is a default you can change and what the range is. What is not published either way is how a touchless claim found wrong afterwards is detected, corrected and resubmitted.

RXNT's SOC 2 reference certifies its data centre operator rather than RXNT's own controls.
