Careswitch

Careswitch combines home care scheduling, caregiver management, billing and payroll with Looper, an AI assistant that works inside agency records. Staff can delegate office tasks, create recurring checks, draft forms and build reports from current operational data. Looper follows the requesting person's permissions, and completed tasks wait for staff review.

The platform also handles caregiver timekeeping, qualifications, client care plans and shared communications. Its billing tools support private pay and third party payers, with automated claim submission and controls for incomplete billing cycles. Careswitch became part of Paradigm in September 2025 and continues as a named software product alongside Paradigm's billing services. Visiting Angels in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a named customer.

Capability Axes

An AI Health Index grade measures what a buyer can verify from public sources on the date shown. It is not a rating of how good the product is. A vendor can build an excellent system and grade low on an axis because it publishes nothing an outsider can check. How grades read

AI Capability
BB on AI CentralityThe model is the engine of a core module. The platform carries other value, but this capability does not exist without it.
Vendor Published

Looper is a core assistant for delegated office work, recurring checks and reports drawn from agency records. Scheduling, caregiver profiles, timekeeping, billing and payroll remain useful platform functions independently of the model.

AA on Autonomy and Oversight ModelWhat the system may do and what it may not do are both published, with escalation thresholds, override paths and the conditions that route a case to a person.
Vendor Published

Looper acts within the requester's permissions and sends completed tasks to In Review. It returns to that person when stuck. Administrators can restrict roles or disable delegation, while changes to recurring loops require saving and support undo.

BB on Model and Technology TransparencyThe approach or the suppliers are named without the version and update discipline behind them. Naming a supplier is the entry to this band both here and on Model Supply Chain Disclosure, which ask different questions of the same disclosure: who receives the data, and what produces the output.
Vendor Published

Looper evaluations identify Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Haiku 5.5 with different reasoning settings. Model selection uses task results. The configuration serving each production workflow and the procedure for changing it are unspecified.

BB on Model Supply Chain DisclosureSubstantial partial disclosure, or a chain that is structurally short: an in house build, a cleared model that cannot be quietly swapped, or a deployment where the transfer does not occur at all. Naming the model provider exits the band below into this one; the axis rises from here on the completeness of the party list and on the terms that govern data once it arrives.
Vendor Published

The linked AI service terms name Google Vertex AI, OpenAI and Anthropic. The agreement allows prompts and outputs to reach external model services. A complete current provider inventory and the retention and training terms for each production route are not specified.

BB on Clinical and Operational EvidenceNamed deployments with dated outcome figures and enough method to test them, or published research short of independent validation.
Vendor Published

The October 9, 2026 Looper benchmark uses 101 tasks in a sample agency, with each model configuration tested twice. Opus 5.5 at high effort completed 85% correctly. Results measure simulated office work, not a controlled study of agency outcomes.

BB on AI Safety and PHI StewardshipCategorical commitments are published, such as no training on customer data, without the retention schedule behind them.
Vendor Published

The BAA permits deidentified product development and requires return or destruction of protected information at termination where feasible. AI terms separately allow provider retention and training under provider policies. No fixed retention period or complete incident procedure for unsafe model output is specified.

Regulatory and Compliance
AA on HIPAA and BAA PostureBusiness associate status is stated, the agreement is available to read before contracting, the tier it applies at is clear, and the agreement discloses that it binds subcontractors who handle protected health information. Which parties those subcontractors are is graded on Model Supply Chain Disclosure and is not counted again here. Where any of the four cannot be verified from published material, the grade is the band below.
Vendor Published

The service agreement incorporates a readable BAA for customers whose protected information Careswitch handles as business associate. It binds subcontractors to comparable obligations and sets breach reporting, record assistance and termination duties. The agreement is not limited to a named premium tier.

BB on Security Certifications and Trust CenterA recognized certification is named in the vendor own material without the artifact, or with a scope or renewal question the buyer has to raise. A recognized certification here is an audit of how the vendor operates security, such as SOC 2, HITRUST or ISO/IEC 27001. A certification has a scope and a clock, and both are part of this grade. A certification the vendor attaches to its data center, hosting facility or cloud provider, rather than presenting as its own, is the host's and does not count here.
Vendor Published

Paradigm's trust center lists SOC 2 and a Paradigm SOC II Report, with access required to retrieve it. The center also describes encryption, penetration testing and access controls. The report's period and coverage of Careswitch remain unverified.

CC on FDA and Regulatory StatusNo device claim is made and the product is scoped accordingly. Most administrative and operational products sit here and are not penalized for it, because this axis grades the appropriateness of the positioning rather than possession of a clearance.
Vendor Published

Careswitch organizes home care staffing, records, billing and payroll. Its terms exclude diagnosis and treatment services. Looper assists office workflows within that operational scope, without a medical device claim attached to its recommendations.

BB on AI Governance and Bias DisclosureA governance framework with named process behind it, such as certification to an artificial intelligence management standard, or material written for a customer own review committee to evaluate the product with. A framework covering the vendor whole portfolio counts when its scope reaches this product; what it cannot supply is the product specific evaluation the band above asks for. Published results within the one group where the performance of this product is most at risk also sit here: evaluation on the question this axis asks, short of the comparison across groups the band above requires. A medical device clearance or certification, and the quality system behind it, does not reach this band on its own; it is graded under regulatory status. A regulator reviewed plan governing how the model may change does reach it.
Vendor Published

Looper Bench governs model selection through repeatable office tasks, including 13 guardrail tests. Checks cover ambiguous identities, unauthorized changes and instructions embedded in care notes. No comparison of model behavior across demographic or language groups accompanies these results.

BB on AI Liability and RecourseA published falsifiable commitment, or a real correction route the affected person can exercise against the vendor. A published error rate with its method and denominator grades here. A statutory right that runs to the covered entity rather than to the vendor does not reach this band on its own: every other route here asks something of the vendor, and being located in a particular jurisdiction is not conduct.
Vendor Published

The benchmark provides a testable correctness result with a defined task population and checks against final records. This is evidence of measured errors, not an output guarantee. Production tasks retain reports and a staff review step.

Integration and Deployment
BB on EHR and Interoperability DepthNamed systems with read access or one directional writing, or standards support with named deployments behind it.
Vendor Published

Careswitch has a named integration with Paradigm for scheduling and billing data, and an iSolved payroll export. The August 2026 release changes that export to Excel. These are operational connections, without verified bidirectional integration to a major clinical EHR.

CC on Deployment Model and Data ResidencyA single hosted option with location implied rather than committed.
Vendor Published

Agencies use a hosted workspace and a caregiver mobile application that can collect information offline and synchronize later. No product specific commitment fixes the storage region, cross border processing path or availability of a customer hosted deployment.

Commercial
CC on Commercial TransparencyNo price is published and the posture is discoverable: a buyer can establish how the product is sold and what drives the cost before contacting the vendor. Most of the index sits here.
Vendor Published

Purchase starts with a demo and quote, with charges linked to agency revenue. No percentage, minimum charge or implementation amount accompanies that basis, so revenue alone does not determine a prospective customer's bill.

BB on Setting and Specialty CoverageCoverage is named with validation behind part of it.
Vendor Published

Careswitch serves US home care agencies using private pay, VA benefits and long term care insurance. Visiting Angels in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is a named deployment. Validation is not separated across these payer arrangements.

Entry Price Pricing Basis BAA Tier Implementation Source
Custom quote
Custom quote linked to agency revenue; no percentage or minimum stated. The service agreement incorporates the BAA when Careswitch handles customer protected information as business associate. No implementation amount stated. Vendor Published

A demo begins the purchase process. Looper benchmark task costs are model testing costs, not customer subscription prices.
