How do Asimily and Claroty handle patient data?
In Asimily's case, the product security page says neither PII nor ePHI is transmitted out of the on-site Edge appliance, data processed at the Edge is not written to disk, in-memory data is deleted after processing, cloud data stays in the country of origin, nothing is shared with third parties without customer authorization, and each customer runs on dedicated instances.
For Claroty, the HIPAA policy (effective 30 Sep 2024) says device traffic may incidentally contain PHI and bars de-identifying PHI for internal use without authorization. Both records were reviewed on this site in September 2026. Neither publishes a price. Claroty's HIPAA policy states business associate status. Asimily says patient data never leaves its Edge appliance. It states no business associate position. Claire can apply segmentation policy and open tickets on its own. Claroty's terms make human review the customer's duty without saying which Claire actions wait for approval. Claroty's AI Addendum lets it improve its products with data derived from customer environments. Asimily does not say whether customer device data trains its models. Asimily's customer figures, such as 98 percent NIST compliance at MemorialCare, are published without method. Claroty's, such as a 70 percent cut in manual inventory time at Ohio State Wexner, are vendor published with no independent test. Both cite KLAS survey rankings, which this page does not rely on.
