How do Corti and Nabla handle patient data?
Corti's data processing agreement keeps personal data for the life of the contract and deletes it 30 days after termination.
Audio is not stored by default, notes are kept for 14 days from the moment an encounter is created, and a customer can shorten that window, down to a few hours according to Nabla's French compliance page. On expiry the data leaves the application and remains only in backups, which expire seven days later. Which settings and specialties do Corti and Nabla cover?
Corti started in emergency call triage and now documents primary care, telehealth and hospital ward care, with NHS Grampian using it on a ward at Inverurie Hospital and other NHS trusts working with it elsewhere in the UK. Language coverage is built model by model, with clinical speech models for Danish and French among them, rather than claimed across a long list.
With Nabla, customers range from individual practices to large health systems, and emergency and inpatient clinicians can document on mobile inside Epic. Nabla supports more than 35 languages, from English, Spanish and French to several Arabic dialects, Hindi, Mandarin and Haitian Creole. Corti's clinical evidence for documentation is research on its models and a KLAS First Look report rather than outcome studies, and its figure of a 65 percent reduction in note bloat has no published method. Corti publishes no business associate agreement position. The UCLA trial behind Nabla's result ran in outpatient care at a single academic health system, limited to English language visits, and Nabla publishes no results by language.
