Product / capability

Suki launched Suki Dictation, a standalone clinical dictation product built natively inside Epic and Meditech rather than delivered as a separate application alongside them. Clinicians can generate notes, edit by voice command and place the result directly into the EHR. The strategic point is that it is sold separately from Suki's ambient scribe, so an organization can buy dictation without committing to full ambient documentation.

Our read

Plenty of health systems want to replace legacy dictation without taking on the change management and clinician consent work that an ambient scribe rollout requires, and until now that meant choosing between an old product and a bigger project than they wanted. Native Epic and Meditech embedding also removes the second window that made previous generation dictation tools unpopular. For buyers this is most interesting as a lower commitment entry point that leaves the ambient upgrade available later.
