Medical Scribe's web app now accepts up to 10 PDF or Word files per visit, at 25 MB each, and drafts the note from their text together with the visit recording. A new option drafts a note from attachments alone, such as an existing telehealth transcript or a discharge packet, and the files stay in the visit's Files tab.

Our read

Notes can now draw on outside records the clinician already holds, not only on what was said in the room. Files the app cannot read are flagged, so check that the content you expected made it in.

Product / capability

Medical Scribe released desktop apps for Mac, covering both Apple Silicon and Intel, and for Linux, with Windows to follow. On a Mac the app records system audio as well as the microphone, so both sides of a telehealth call are captured, and visits and notes sync across desktop, mobile and web.

Our read

Clinicians who run telehealth from a laptop no longer need a phone in the room to record. The app does not send notes into an EHR, so they are still copied in after review.
