What Changed at Vero Scribe

Clinicians can now ask Vero's chat inside a visit for ICD or diagnosis codes, and Vero returns codes specific to that visit, checked against the code catalog the user selected. The same release lets users attach a PDF form in chat and have Vero fill it, in encounter, standalone and Evidence chats.

Checking suggestions against the practice's own catalog keeps them inside the code set it bills with. Vero states each code still needs verification by a clinician or qualified coder.

Vero added an encounter coding workspace: from a note inside an encounter, the clinician asks chat to code the visit and reviews a table of editable billing lines, diagnoses, amounts and totals. It builds on Codes (Beta), released on 5 October, which suggests diagnosis and billing codes from notes and totals each day's fees.

Our read

This moves Vero from drafting notes into charge capture for US practices, so buyers should test code accuracy and the review step. Vero's billing page says users must review and verify every code before billing.
