Product / capability

ModMed launched an AI package for general surgery practices that extends ModMed Scribe, which drafts notes from the patient conversation and works with the EMA EHR to suggest surgical ICD-10 codes for the surgeon to review. Named subspecialties include colorectal, breast, vascular, bariatric, endocrine, surgical oncology, and foregut and hepatobiliary surgery. The solution is available now; AI clinical summaries for chart review are planned.

Our read

General surgery groups get an ambient scribe tuned to their work inside the EHR rather than a separate tool, with code selection left to the surgeon. Confirm which subspecialty templates are live at contract time.
