Infinitus's payer calling agents can now identify the right pharmacy benefit manager from the BIN and PCN printed on most member ID cards, rather than from a payer ID mapped in advance. For some payers the agent now pulls the patient's address on file so it can pass strict identity checks, which Infinitus says raised one customer's success rate with CVS Caremark by 12 percent. Benefits results now also report how each payer accepts predetermination requests, by phone, fax, mail, website, email or electronically.

Our read

Fewer calls fail at the first step, and staff learn up front where to send a predetermination instead of finding out on a second call.
